About this Process
Transforming concrete floors into robust and visuallyy appealing surfaces, commercial epoxy installation proceeds through a series of carefully executed steps. We initate with detailed surface preparation, encompassing cleaning, grinding, and etching, to ensure optimal adhesion. Subsequently, a precisely formulated epoxy mixture is applied, often in layers – including a base, color, and protective topcoat – resulting in a smooth, durable, and aesthetically enhanced finish.
- Surface Preparation: Clean: Remove all contaminants. Grind: Smooth surface, enhancce adhesion. Etch: Further improve adhesion. Repair: Fill cracks and holes.
- Priming: Apply primer, enhance adhesion; cure per manufacturer’s instructions.
- Epoxy Mixing: Measure and Mix: Follow ratio, mix thoroughly.
- Epoxy Application: Base Coat: Apply evenly. Color Coat: Apply after base. Flake/Quartz: Broadcast into wet coat.
- Topcoat Application: Mix and Apply, cure and allow full curing time.
- Inspection & Cleanup: Inspect for flaws, clean debris, ensure proper airflow.
